The Hercules Prime R129 has been designed to provide larger children and young adults (who are between 130 - 180 cm in height and weighing between 18 - 80kg) a supportive seating solution to ensure they can continue to travel safety in vehicles after having outgrown their child car seat. Whilst some car seats have an adjustable backrest height, the Hercules Prime R129 has both back and shoulder width adjustment meaning it is able to both grow with the user and accommodate a greater variety of user shapes and sizes. The shoulder guides adjust independently from one another enabling further customisation to the user’s unique shape.
Traditionally it has been difficult to replicate the support available from a seating system / pushchair in a car seat; however, the Hercules Prime seeks to change this by offering a plethora of features to optimise the user's seating position and maximise their comfort.
In addition, the Hercules Prime R129 has a large number of postural and practical accessories available to enable complete personalisation to the product user (pictured with the swivel base and tilting plate). This not only ensures the optimum comfort and support for each user but also ensures you only pay for the items you actually need. Particularly useful extras are the swivel base (helpful for heavier clients who are not able to be safety or comfortably lifted); a tilting plate - offering all the benefits of tilt in space including head control and pressure control amongst many others; postural supports - including lateral trunk supports and a pommel; a footrest - for weary legs; as well as many others. As the Hercules has been designed for larger individuals (you can view the sizing chart here), this car seat will have to be bigger / taller to accommodate a larger occupant. As such, in order to fit in your vehicle, there must be a distance of at least 5 cm / 2" between the top of head and the roof of the vehicle to ensure that tall users can still sit comfortably. Please note, some car roofs are not flat at the top; rather, they are curved and so you would need to ensure sufficient height from the roof of your car for the entire length of the car seat.
The Hercules Prime R129 has been successfully tested according to ECE R 44/04. In addition, the Hercules Prime and all rehab accessories are DEKRA tested.
